My Work

Consider this my creative proving ground: 'Experiments.' Here, my project management principles meet creative curiosity as I explore new design techniques and visual storytelling. It's an ongoing journey of learning and discovery—with more intriguing explorations on the horizon.

Email Template

Shop Updates & Collection Launches

Goal: To establish a professional, aesthetically aligned, and effective email communication channel for a small artisanal jewelry maker, enabling seamless dissemination of shop updates and successful promotion of new collection launches to their customer base.

My Contribution: Collaborating with an independent artisanal jewelry maker, I conceptualized and designed a custom email template. The objective was to create a visually appealing and brand-consistent design that could be easily adapted for various marketing needs – from routine shop announcements to high-impact new collection reveals. This project involved:

  • Brand Integration: Translating the artisan's unique aesthetic and brand identity into a digital format suitable for email.

  • User-Centric Layout: Designing a modular and intuitive template structure that prioritized visual storytelling, clear calls-to-action, and optimal readability across various devices.

  • Content Strategy: Ensuring the template was versatile enough to effectively present shop updates, highlight new products, and drive traffic to sales platforms.

The resulting email template provided the artisan with a powerful, easy-to-use tool to enhance customer engagement, reinforce brand loyalty, and effectively market new collections directly to their audience.

Social Media Asset

Building Engagement & Awareness

Goal: To establish a compelling digital presence for a new local restaurant, fostering customer engagement, communicating new offerings, and actively attracting both a loyal customer base and passing clientele through strategic social media content.

My Contribution: I am collaborating with a newly established local restaurant to develop a vibrant social media presence, crucial for building initial traction and sustained customer engagement. My role involved conceptualizing and creating a diverse range of social media assets tailored to highlight new menu offerings, showcase the restaurant's unique ambiance, and foster a sense of community. This strategic content was designed not only to keep existing customers engaged and informed but also to capture the attention of potential new patrons, including those looking for dining options while traveling. The initiative aimed to organically grow their customer base by presenting an inviting and dynamic online representation of their culinary experience.

Social Asset

Community Engagement & Communications

Goal: To maintain an active and supportive private online community for Better Place Forests, ensuring members were well-informed and felt valued, particularly through a high-touch, end-of-year appreciation campaign.

My Contribution: I managed the content strategy and daily upkeep of Better Place Forests' private online community, regularly sharing forest and company updates to foster awareness and connection. This project highlights an annual gratitude post I conceptualized and crafted. Its core purpose was to sensitively commemorate the past year, acknowledging the profound trust placed in Better Place Forests and the Yosemite Gateway team for providing a final resting place for their loved ones. This initiative reinforced our commitment to community well-being and empathetic communication.

Branding Asset

Customer Experience & Branding

Goal: To solve a key operational and customer trust challenge by ensuring a consistent, legitimate brand experience for online purchasers, thus reducing pre-fulfillment refund requests and improving overall customer journey satisfaction.

My Contribution: During my tenure at Better Place Forests, I identified a critical gap in our customer journey: the period between an online purchase and direct forest team engagement, which often led to questions of legitimacy and potential refunds. I conceptualized, designed, and implemented a series of cohesive email banners and templates, integrating them directly into our CRM. This strategic communication initiative aimed to strengthen our brand's online presence, instill confidence, and clarify the customer's next steps. My pride in this project was the welcome email, whose thoughtful design and clear messaging directly contributed to an exceptional 90% customer retention rate, demonstrating the power of thoughtful digital touchpoints in securing long-term customer commitment.

Packaging Design

Brand Development & Regulatory Compliance

Goal: To elevate a local candle artist's brand presence through compelling visual design while meticulously ensuring all product labeling adhered to industry-specific sales and safety regulations.

My Contribution:

Collaborating with a local artisanal candle maker, I took on the project of developing their brand's visual identity and packaging strategy. The core challenge was to create aesthetically appealing branding that simultaneously incorporated all mandatory regulatory information (such as safety warnings, ingredient lists, and contact details) required for legal retail sales. Leveraging my self-taught design skills and meticulous attention to detail, I conceptualized and executed a series of label designs and branding elements. This involved:

  • Translating the artist's creative vision into a cohesive and professional visual identity.

  • Conducting research to identify and integrate all necessary compliance elements onto the product labels.

  • Designing layouts that balanced visual appeal with critical information legibility.

The successful outcome provided the artist with a professional, market-ready product line, enabling confident sales and reinforcing their brand's trustworthiness and appeal.

Memorial Pack

Designing Connection Through Tangible Keepsakes

Goal: To extend the deeply personal and "white-glove" service of Better Place Forests into a tangible, branded keepsake for guests, fostering a unique connection to their loved one's memorial tree and creating a lasting sense of comfort.

My Contribution:

Recognizing the profound emotional needs of guests placing a loved one at a memorial tree, I conceptualized and led the creation of a bespoke "memorial pack." This project involved designing a curated, branded packet given to each guest, ensuring every detail contributed to a meaningful, "white-glove" experience. My responsibilities included:

  • Personalization Integration: Ensuring the seamless inclusion of cherished photos of their loved one and an artistic mock-up of their specific memorial marker.

  • Experiential Element: Incorporating wildflower seeds that guests had sprinkle at the tree, transforming the act of remembrance into an ongoing, personal "memorial garden" that bridges distance.

  • Brand Alignment: Overseeing the branding and quality control of all elements within the packet to ensure it reflected the reverence and premium nature of Better Place Forests' service.

This initiative resulted in a deeply empathetic offering that provided comfort, facilitated a unique form of remembrance, and solidified the emotional connection guests felt to the memorial site and the Better Place Forests brand.
